Say Hi - “November was White, December was Grey”
Say Hi formed over 9 years ago and have recently inched away from their cutesy lo-fi roots (the band was formally named Say Hi to Your Mom) into the more indie sound. They just released their seventh studio album.
I can’t speak to a lot of their other music. I’m not crazy about any of their albums. But to me - this song is a gem.
For one, I am in the trenches of a midwestern winter and it encapsulates my mood perfectly: melancholic. Secondly, I’m a sucker for this sound. My tastes are predictable: bass guitar, gentle drumming and soft-spoken lead singers.
